Jahvanie Morrison, widely known as WeekDay, stands as a prominent Jamaican-born producer.


Renowned for his mastery of the keyboard, WeekDay's passion for music led him to pursue formal education at the Edna Manley School for the Visual and Performing Arts. As a unique and vibrant producer and composer, WeekDay's creative prowess extends across various genres, with a particular focus on reggae and dancehall.



WeekDay's extensive body of work includes collaborations with both international and local artists, showcasing his versatility and broad appreciation for live music. Notable partnerships include projects with Alkaline, Jahmiel, Kranium, Jesse Royal, Teejay, Elhae, Shenseea, and Tessellated, among others. His compositions and productions span labels such as Atlantic Records, Universal Music, and his own label, Tru Ambassador Entertainment.


In addition to his contributions to the music of established artists, WeekDay has displayed his creative flair in the realm of commercial advertisements. Brands such as Flow, Singer, Wray & Nephew, and Rubis have benefitted from WeekDay's melodic touch, solidifying his reputation as a versatile and sought-after producer in the Jamaican music industry.



 


Jahvy Morrison, also known as Jahvy, the man behind the musical magic, is in his late 20s and has been actively producing music for the past seven years. Hailing from Linstead, St. Catherine, his journey into the music industry began with his education at Charlemont High and later Edna Manley College. Although financial difficulties led to the discontinuation of his college studies, WeekDay found solace and opportunity in music production.


WeekDay's foray into music production became a source of comfort and a means to pursue his dreams of becoming a successful music icon. Collaborating with dancehall artist Bugle on their track "Don't Give Up," WeekDay's talent quickly gained recognition, setting the stage for his remarkable career in music production.


The pivotal moment in WeekDay's career came in 2016 when he produced the Sexy Ting Riddim compilation, featuring artists like Charly Black. This success paved the way for his collaboration with Alkaline, resulting in the release of "My Love." The song not only marked the beginning of a fruitful partnership but also showcased WeekDay's ability to create melodious and creative beats.


Songs like "Mirage" and "Heartless Killaz" by Alkaline further propelled WeekDay into the spotlight, solidifying his reputation for crafting uniquely identifiable sounds. His creative contributions extend to other top-tier dancehall acts, with notable examples including Jahmiel's "Winning" and "Mankind."


He continues working on his road to greatness with the 450 track "What If?" - produced by WeekDay -  charting in 14 countries and trending #1 on YouTube.
