Award winning comedian Athena Kugblenu (BBC2’s Mock The Week, BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz, The Guilty Feminist podcast)  joined host Alegria on a special episode of The Hour in the midst of her hotly anticipated new hour ‘Shaking Her Class’ at Soho Theatre. 


Fresh from the success of Athena’s Cancel Culture (BBC Radio 4), and with her BBC Radio 4 special airing on 24th April, Athena's brand-new live show brings her signature blend of politics, class and identity. 


Athena’s TV and Radio appearances have included Mock the Week (BBC Two), Breaking the News (BBC Radio Scotland), The Russell Howard Hour (Sky One), Loose Ends (BBC Radio 4) and Horrible Histories (CBBC), as well writing for The Russell Howard Hour (Sky One), Frankie Boyle’s New World Order (BBC Two), The Lenny Henry Show (BBC Radio 4), Dead Ringers (BBC Radio 4), News Quiz (BBC Radio 4), Newsjack (BBC Radio 4 Extra), The Now Show (BBC Radio 4) and lead writing for multicultural sketch-show Sketchtopia (BBC Radio 4).
